Overview
Nicholas is a partner with PPB Advisory. He has over 15 years' experience in the area of corporate insolvency.
He acts for financial institutions and works with company directors and their advisors to identify and implement practical restructuring solutions to improve the financial performance of businesses.
His work has included the provision of both strategic advice and formal insolvency appointments such as voluntary administration, deed of company arrangement, liquidation, receivership and investigative accountant reports for lenders.
Specialist expertise
Nicholas’ expertise includes investigation and monitoring of operational abilities and consulting for secured lenders focusing on the company’s profitability, performance, management competency and short and long term viability. He’s worked on these assignments in a range of industries including:
- manufacturing
- real estate &and construction
- retail/importing
Nicholas has also been retained by directors or their advisors to undertake independent financial performance reviews, assist with cash flow management, debt management, substitution of bank security, identification of surplus/non-core assets, creditor moratoriums and operational issues.
Experience/recent transactions
Nicholas’s experience includes:
- multi unit residential development including completion of construction, obtaining building certifications and owner warranty insurance policy, establishment of owners’ corporation and completion of pre-sale contracts
- restructure of transport operator via voluntary administration and deed of arrangement whereby directors were able to continue operations with a recapitalised balance sheet, improved trading viability and retention of majority of staff
- going concern receivership sale of importer in which majority of workforce provided employment with purchaser and secured creditor’s indebtedness paid in full.
