Brett has over 13 years’ experience in corporate insolvency, reconstruction and advisory in Australia and the UK.
As Head of PPB Advisory’s Real Estate Group in Australia, Brett advises lenders in relation to property sector assets ranging in size from small developments to large-scale portfolios and multi-billion dollar projects.
Brett and his team have particular expertise in resolving the multitude of complex planning issues often associated with distressed property situations.
Brett has been involved in all forms of corporate insolvency, including Investigating Accounting Reports, Voluntary Administrations, Liquidations and Receiverships. He has also undertaken a number of consulting assignments in relation to the restructuring of organisations, both small and large, from an operational and financial perspective.

Experience/recent transactions
Brett has supervised and/or played a major role in the following assignments:
- advised a senior lender in relation to several unlisted REIT exposures
- restructured an unlisted REIT involving introduction of fresh capital
- credit review of circa $3 billion portfolio
- credit reviews of several non-bank financial institutions on behalf of secured creditors
- reviewed and restructured large residential subdivision projects
- acted as Administrator and Receiver of various properties, from small development sites to $2bn projects
- completed property portfolio workouts with assets in excess of $250 million.
