Overview
Allan is a Director with PPB Advisory. He has over 15 years' experience undertaking business restructuring, turnaround and corporate recovery assignments throughout the UK, Europe and Australia.
These assignments have involved assessing business performance and strategy for the purpose of preparing Investigative Accountant reports, undertaking pre-lending reviews, formulating and implementing workout, turnaround and asset divestment strategies, advising on recapitalisation and refinancing and managing formal insolvency appointments.
Before joining PPB Advisory, Allan had 5 years' with KPMG in Edinburgh and Melbourne.

Experience/recent transactions
Some of Allan’s recent major assignments include:
- Lead bank advisor (partly ongoing) to the City Pacific Group, incorporating an ASX listed top-200 company with assets and funds under management in excess of $1billion. Progressive realisation of assets and multiple stakeholder management, including ASIC, shareholders and unitholders.
- Lead bank advisor (partly ongoing) to the CP1 Group and its respective subsidiaries. Progressive realisation of assets, including the ‘Paradise Resort’ in Gold Coast and the ‘Martha Cove’ residential and marina development on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
- Advisor to Living & Leisure Australia (formerly MFS Living & Leisure) during its $150m recapitalisation and debt restructuring.
- Lead role in PPB Advisory’s engagement as receiver and manager and agent to a national car rental business, which involved the recovery and realisation of over 1800 motor vehicles from multiple locations.
- Project team leader on the receivership of the Nauruan Republic’s assets, including the Savoy Park Plaza Hotel, Nauru House and Central Pacific Downtowner Hotel. Secured creditor in excess of $200m repaid in full.
