Alan is a highly skilled advisor with over 22 years’ experience in the corporate insolvency arena. Within this field, he’s gained expertise in the areas of agribusiness, property and franchising.
As a registered Liquidator, Alan works principally for creditors and has partnered on over 1,000 external administrations including receiverships, voluntary administrations, liquidations and Deeds of Company Arrangements.
He also acts in an advisory capacity to banks, boards, financiers and other significant stakeholders particularly, accountants and their clients.

Alan works closely with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes are delivered. His experience in the SME market includes the property, franchising, manufacturing and retailing industries, and he has a comprehensive knowledge of the rural and agribusiness sector.
Experience/recent transactions
Alan worked as an advisor to the employees’ representative in the National Textiles Limited administration. This role ultimately led to the establishment of the General Employee Entitlements & Redundancy (GEER) Scheme. He has also acted as Receiver of one of Australia’s contract harvesters.
Alan’s other experience includes:
- agribusiness enterprises – abattoirs, irrigators, horticulture, livestock, crop dusting etc
- franchising and retail – in excess of 60 franchises
- property – numerous property, development and construction matters large and small.
